2025 SPEAKERS
Steve Bailey is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University and Abilene Christian University. Steve has been a full-time minister since 1976 and served congregations in Texas, and Oklahoma. Steve began his pulpit duties at the Brown Street church of Christ in Waxahachie, Texas in February of 2016. Steve is married to the former Keitha Crawford and they just celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. They have two grown children and three wonderful grandchildren—Brooks, Reese, and Lincoln.
Steve Bailey
Billy and his wife Shayla have been married since 2000. They are blessed with one son, Caleb, who was born in 2013. Billy grew up in Maysville and Mustang, Ok and Shayla in Corona, NM. They entered full-time ministry in 2005 in Ft. Cobb, Ok with the Ft. Cobb church of Christ and have been serving with the Sayre church of Christ since 2012. They are involved each year with Legacy Family Camp and the Excel Still More Bible Workshop. They enjoy spending time together with family, watching the OU Sooners and Atlanta Braves, and feel very blessed to serve in the kingdom of God!
Billy Clabaugh
Cory Collins and his wife Tanya serve the Lord with the Keller church of Christ in Keller, Texas. Their son Christopher and their daughter Charissa and their families also live in the Dallas area. In the early 1980s Cory worked in a mission program in Tower One in the World Trade Center in New York City, teaching English and Bible to immigrants from 25 countries. Cory was granted his doctorate degree from Heritage Christian University in 2021.
Cory Collins
John was born in Nashville, and is married to the beautiful and most spectacular wife in the world, Joy Curtis, since June 12, 1970. They have three grown children and four grandchildren. John graduated from Harding University in 1970 with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible, and from Harding School of Theology in 1989 with a Master of Arts in Religion. He has worked with churches in Texas, Brazil, Mississippi and Oklahoma during 54 years of ministry. He has served on the Board of Directors for three camps - Camp Mount of Olives (Brazil), Sardis Lake (Mississippi), and Pettijohn Springs (Oklahoma), and presently is a member at the Memorial Rd. church of Christ in OKC, where he is the primary Sunday evening speaker and a frequent Bible Class teacher.
John Curtis
Phillip Johnson is in his 21st year of ministry at the Westside church of Christ in Norman, OK where he serves as the pulpit minister. He is married to Shannon Winn and they have one daughter. Phillip received a Bachelor of Science degree in Science Education from the University of Oklahoma. He received a Master of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Oklahoma State University. Before entering the ministry full time, Phillip worked as a teacher and administrator in Oklahoma public schools.
Phillip Johnson
Jimieanne has been married to Dr. Dan Kite for 27 years. We have two daughters, Kayton Kite (22) and Kinley Kite (18). Dan and I have been members at Westside Church of Christ for almost 20 years. Dan is an elder at Westside and at one time was the university minister. Jimieanne teaches ladies classes, organizes the Go (Gospel Outreach) Group which meets once a month, and helps with the university group. Jimieanne teaches at the University of Oklahoma in the education department & supervises student interns. She is also a part time administrator for Adams Elementary with Norman Public Schools. Additionally, she resides on the board of the Mary Abbott House in Norman and also is a mentor for the Women Who Lead program at Oklahoma Christian.
Jimmieanne Kite
Tim is a graduate of Oklahoma Christian University. He graduated in 1993 with a degree in English Education and obtained his Master's Degree in Ministry in 1998. He served as the Preacher / Youth Minister for the Mt. Vernon church of Christ in Mt. Vernon, Missouri for 8 years before moving to Oklahoma City to begin his work with the North MacArthur congregation in 2004. Tim and his wife, Tawni, have two daughters, Macy and Callie, and one son Ryder.
Tim Lewis
In 2022, Bryan and his family joined the work with the Church of Christ in Champions in Houston, Texas. Bryan and his wife Mendy began their work in ministry in 1999, serving congregations in Missouri and Tennessee. In addition to ministry, Bryan served as a full-time Assistant Professor of Behavioral Sciences for Freed-Hardeman University. Since August of 2022 he has served as a full-time Assistant Professor in the School of Education and Human Services for Amridge University. Bryan and his wife Mendy have been married since 1999 and have four children: Connor, Kendyl, Kinley, and Carsen. Bryan has an MA in Community Counseling (2007) and a PhD in Professional Counseling (2017). He is a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC).
Bryan McAlister
Ryan McDonald, his wife Dwan, and their daughter Adalynn have worshiped with the congregation at Eastside in Midwest City since 2013. He has served as a ministry leader, a deacon, and was recently installed as one of the shepherds serving the congregation. Upon graduating from Oklahoma Christian University in 2000, Ryan began a career in public education, teaching social studies in secondary classrooms for the past 23 years. During that time he spent 2 years working as a McKinney-Vento (homeless) liaison for Mid-Del Schools.
Ryan McDonald
Brad McNutt was born and reared in Tupelo, Mississippi. He has been married to the former Brooke Williams since July 2008. They have three sons (Drew, Conner, & Reed). He is graduate of Memphis School of Preaching and Heritage Christian University. He is currently pursuing the Master of Divinity degree at Heritage Christian University. For the last seventeen years, he has served churches in Kentucky and Alabama. Ten years ago, he co-founded The Light Network, a network of Christian podcasts. Brad currently works with the Moulton Church of Christ in Moulton, Alabama.
Brad McNutt
Trey is the Lead Minister for the Sunset Church of Christ in Lubbock Texas. He and his wife Lea have 4 grown sons, two daughters-in-law and three grandchildren. Trey & Lea are involved in marriage and family ministry and do marriage and family workshops all over the US and they are blessed to speak to thousands yearly about having a stronger marriages and families. They have authored three books.
Trey Morgan
Matthew is originally from Nova Scotia, Canada. He has a beautiful wife named Charity and two precious children named Gabrielle and Noah. He has graduated from the Brown Trail School of Preaching, Heritage Christian University with his Bachelors of Arts in Biblical Studies, Lipscomb University with his Master’s of Arts in Biblical Studies, and Freed-Hardeman University with his Master’s of Divinity degree, and Harding School of Theology with a Doctorate in Ministry. Matthew has served as an Associate Minister for the Hartsville Pike Church of Christ, Pulpit Minister for the Waynesboro church of Christ, and presently he is the pulpit minister for the Castle Rock Church of Christ in Castle Rock, Colorado. He is the author of “Mountain Moving Faith” and “Natural Evangelism.”
Matthew Morine
Melvin L. Otey has served as an Associate Professor of Law at Faulkner University, Jones School of Law, since August 2014. Prior to this, he worked for the US Department of Justice in Washington, DC, as a trial lawyer (2000-2003, 2007-2014) and preached for the Georgia Avenue church of Christ in DC (2006-2014). He writes for Christian publications, conducts Gospel meetings, lectures, and seminars, and serves as a board member for Lads 2 Leaders and the Gospel Journal. He received formal education from St. Louis University (BSBA, 1997), Howard University School of Law (JD, 2000), Amridge University (BS in Ministry/Bible, 2008; MDiv in Ministerial Leadership, 2014). He and his wife, Jania, have two sons, Caleb and Christian. They worship and work with the Dalraida congregation in Montgomery, AL.
Melvin Otey
Eddie was born in Dallas, Texas. He is a 1990 graduate of the Brown Trail School of Preaching in Bedford, Texas. Since his graduation, he has preached in several cities in Texas including, Collinsville, Odessa, Tyler, Bedford, and Rosenberg. After preaching for the Brown Trail Church of Christ from 2004-2014, he returned to the pulpit at Brown Trail in 2017 where he continues to serve. In addition to pulpit preaching and teaching for several years in the Brown Trail School of Preaching, Eddie hosted “The Truth in Love” television program from 2004-2012 and has done video and television work for World Video Bible School and the Gospel Broadcasting Network. Eddie and his wife, Mary, have two sons – Amos (and wife, Makaria) and Daniel (and wife, Rachel).
Eddie Parrish
David was reared in Paducah, Kentucky. In 2023, he retired from teaching Bible at Freed-Hardeman University after 30 years. In 2022, after 22 years, he retired from being the pulpit minister for the North Jackson church of Christ in Jackson, TN. He is married to the former Cathy Dublin of Mayfield, KY and together they have two children: Katie, and her husband Taylor Bell, and Nathan, and his wife Hope Allen. They have three grandchildren: Annie, and Ollie Bell, and Charlie Powell. Today David and Cathy make their home in Henderson, TN.
David Powell
Daniel joined the Memorial Road ministry staff in 2019 after working in youth & family ministry with the Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, TX and the Britton Road Church of Christ in Oklahoma City. He earned a degree in youth ministry from Oklahoma Christian University in 2009. His role at Memorial Road involves working with our young adults and singles. Daniel and his wife Amy have two daughters, Afton and Emmie Jo.
Daniel Roberts
Jeremy is the Youth and Family Minister with the North MacArthur church in Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Carrie, have worked alongside that congregation since December of 2013. Jeremy is a graduate of the Bear Valley Bible Institute in Denver and Oklahoma Christian University. Jeremy and Carrie have two daughters, Darci and Penny.
Jeremy Roberts
Corey Sawyers is the preaching minister at the Martin (TN) Church of Christ and an adjunct instructor with Bear Valley Bible Institute, from which he has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Biblical Studies. He and his wife, Melody, have three sons. Garrett is the youth minister at the Greenfield congregation and is married to Bailey. Gordon is the preacher for the Knob Creek congregation in Dukedom, TN, and is married to Lauren. Gannon is still at home and wants to go into ministry when he grows up. Corey loves his family, ministry, the Vols, the Andy Griffith Show, coffee, smoking meat, and banana pudding.
Corey Sawyers
Tim Pyles received his education in Bible and ministry at Lipscomb University: B.A. (1985), M.A. (2000). He has served in congregational ministry with churches in Australia, Hawaii, Tennessee, Alabama, Texas, and Oklahoma. He has been involved in short-term mission efforts in Papua New Guinea, South Africa, Nigeria, Estonia, Ukraine, Honduras, and Mexico. For 9 years Tim served as preaching minister for the McDermott Road church in Plano, Texas. For the last 16 years, he has served as the preaching minister for the Broken Arrow (Oklahoma) Church of Christ. Tim and his wife Kim have been married for 36 years and have two children: daughter Hannah Kingcade and husband Reece, and son Coleman.
Tim Pyles
Ilena Varner is from Blanchard, Oklahoma and has been married to her husband, Bryson, for 21 years. They have two children, Brody, who is a Freshman at the University of Nebraska, and Meg, who is a Sophomore at Blanchard High School. They have been members of the Westside church of Christ for 16 years. She has been the Co-Director of Westside's EWES camp for teen girls for the last three years. She currently works as the Workshop Facilitation and Content Manager for the Family Expectations program in Oklahoma City.
Ilena Varner
Wesley Walker is the Preaching Minister for the Woodson Chapel Church of Christ in Nashville, TN. He is a graduate of the Bear Valley Bible Institute and received his M.Div at Freed-Hardeman University. Wesley has preached in gospel meetings, lectureships, and seminars throughout the United States, Western Europe, and Central America. He currently serves as a teacher for the Nashville School of Preaching and Biblical Studies and in the Bear Valley Graduate School Program. He is a frequent contributor to brotherhood magazines. Wesley is married to Amanda and has three children.
